North London homeowner Paula Miller had a dilemma: she’d just been told she’d won a prize of new sash windows, but she knew her husband objected to ‘tacky plastic double glazing’. The couple won a set of Bygone sashes in a recent competition run by national home improvement magazine, Your Home, worth £6,000. But proud of their recently purchased property and its period features, Steve Miller was concerned that dodgy double-glazing (and dodge-it-and-scarper fitters) would devalue his home. After seeing the Masterframe-made sashes in the showroom of local installer, Barnet Window Company, he changed his opinion completely.
